The Practice

House of Harmony is a professional psychotherapy and supervision practice based in Brisbane, with secure online sessions available across Australia.

Founded by Alexandra Herzog, the practice brings over 15 years of clinical experience.
Our work blends depth with practicality- supporting individuals, couples, therapists, and organisations.

We are guided by values of confidentiality, integrity, and cultural sensitivity, offering services that include:

   •    Psychotherapy for individuals navigating stress, anxiety, grief, and life transitions
   •    Couples therapy for reconnection, repair, and clarity
   •    Clinical supervision for therapists and students
   •    Executive wellbeing and EAP partnerships for leaders, HR, and organisations

Family Constellations

In a Therapy Session

Life can change suddenly, or slowly over time, leaving you feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or alone. Therapy provides a place to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and reconnect with yourself.

Together, we explore what matters most to you- whether it’s:

   •    Managing stress, burnout, or anxiety
   •    Working through grief or major transitions
   •    Finding clarity in relationships
   •    Reconnecting with identity, culture, or

belonging.

With a trauma-informed and systemic approach, sessions focus on both immediate relief and lasting growth. Therapy here is not about quick fixes, but about creating real clarity, resilience, and change.

Austrian Clinical Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Supervisor

I am Alexandra Herzog, a Master’s-trained Gestalt Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with over 15 years of professional experience. Originally from Austria and now based in Brisbane, I bring both an international perspective and deep local knowledge to my work.

I am a PACFA Clinical Member and member of GANZ, with advanced training in Supervision and Family Constellation Therapy.

My background includes private practice, government roles, and global digital health platforms, giving me insight into the unique challenges faced by individuals, couples, therapists, and leaders.

My specialisations include:

 •    Life transitions and cross-cultural adjustment
   •    Couples therapy and relational repair
   •    Supervision for therapists and students
   •    Executive wellbeing, resilience, and EAP partnerships

At the heart of my practice is a simple aim: to create a professional, confidential space where people can find clarity, resilience, and connection - whether in their personal lives, their relationships, or their organisations.

What's the Difference between Psychotherapy, Psychology &Counselling?

•    Psychotherapy
A deeper, longer-term process that explores patterns, emotions, and relationships at their roots.
It focuses on lasting personal change, not just symptom relief.
   Psychology
A scientific discipline. Psychologists may provide assessments, testing, and structured interventions.
Some also offer therapy, often shorter-term or condition-focused.

Counselling
Typically shorter-term, goal-oriented support for specific challenges- such as stress, grief, or life decisions.

At House of Harmony, psychotherapy is the foundation. It allows us to go deeper-  beyond quick fixes-
while drawing on counselling skills and psychological insight where useful.

What to Expect

   1.    A safe, confidential space — whether in-person or online.
   2.    A collaborative process — we focus on what matters most to you.
   3.    Evidence-based approaches — Gestalt, systemic, somatic, and trauma-informed.
   4.    Practical outcomes — clarity, resilience, and tools you can use in daily life.

Please note:
We do not provide affidavits for courts.

Client Reviews

I love Alexandras approach. She gave me the capacity to see my skeletons in the closet and gave me tools to work through whatever was rising to the surface. In times of crisis she was there to guide me through it! I strongly recommend Alexandra.
