When insight is not enough

Insight alone does not change behaviour.

We work with patterns in real time,
so change becomes possible.

The Practice

House of Harmony is a private psychotherapy and clinical supervision practice based in Brisbane, working with individuals, couples and professionals.

My approach is relational, direct and depth-focused. We work with what is happening beneath the surface - recurring patterns, relational dynamics and the ways you respond when life becomes difficult or complex.

Family Constellations

Sessions provide space to slow things down, understand what is happening and work towards meaningful change.

Areas of focus include:

• Relationships, separation and recurring relational patterns
• Life transitions and identity shifts
• Burnout and professional pressure
• Attachment and emotional regulation
• Clinical supervision for therapists

Alexandra Herzog / House of Harmony

About Alexandra Herzog

I am a European-born, Master’s-trained Registered Clinical Psychotherapist® and Clinical Supervisor with more than 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples and professionals.

Before psychotherapy, my professional background was in education. That foundation continues to shape how I work - with a strong interest in development, learning, relationships and how people adapt through different stages of life.

My approach is grounded in Gestalt Psychotherapy and informed by relational and systemic thinking.

Having lived and worked across different cultural contexts also brings a broader perspective to relationships, identity, belonging and the realities of modern life.

I am direct, engaged and practical in my work. Therapy with me is not passive, nor is it based on applying the same formula to everyone. We work with what is actually happening - in your life, in your relationships and in the room.

What brings people to therapy

  • Relationships & Relational Patterns
Relationships that feel difficult, repetitive or unclear. Separation, changing dynamics, boundaries and patterns that continue to show up across relationships.

  • Life Transitions & Identity
Periods of significant change where an old way of living, relating or understanding yourself no longer fits.

  • Stress, Burnout & Overload
When the demands of work, relationships and everyday life have exceeded your capacity to keep functioning in the same way.

  • Emotional & Behavioural Patterns
Understanding the responses, habits and protective patterns that may once have served you but are now getting in the way.

  • Work, Leadership & Professional Life
Navigating pressure, responsibility, workplace relationships, leadership challenges and significant professional change.

Therapy & Legal Proceedings

House of Harmony provides psychotherapy for therapeutic purposes only.

I do not provide court reports, medico-legal assessments, opinions or recommendations for legal proceedings, and I do not accept referrals where the primary purpose of therapy is to support current or anticipated litigation.

Clinical Supervision & Students

Client Reflections

I love Alexandra's approach. She gave me the capacity to see my skeletons in the closet and gave me tools to work through whatever was rising to the surface. In times of crisis she was there to guide me through it! I strongly recommend Alexandra.
